ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

Due to the high cost of school bus transportation for field trips, more and more classes are taking their field trips using the SCAT bus system.  The class rides on a regularly scheduled bus route(s) to their destination and learns about using public transit in the process. 

Teachers simply need to call the Marketing Assistant at 483-3959, ext. 110 to schedule a trip.  We will help you plan the itinerary to coordinate with your trip needs and will then notify the bus drivers so they are expecting your group.  Groups are limited to a maximum of 30 students due to the capacity of the buses.

Additionally, when trips are made to libraries, museums, or the San Buenaventura Mission SCAT provides a Boarding Pass for a free return trip for the students and adults in the group.  Trips to other destination points require the class to pay the fare for the round trip.  Discounted multi-ride tickets are available for purchase to both save you money and speed the boarding of the group.
